End of mission recovery

The pitch :

Jeb, Bill and Bob are back from a loooong travel. They managed to get back to Kerbin, but they still have a little problem, their ship will not survive the fall to the ground level... So they are now stuck in LKO awaiting for a rescue mission.

This rescue mission is your mission !

But there are some problems :

- As you do now have cash, you can only borrow parts to build your ship, everything have to come back but the fuel needed to save our 3 friends.

- As this travel lasted year, you will have to take them back all 3 together or they will fight each other to be the first going down.

- Munzer Kerman, the son of the President of the United States of Kebarika as just finished his space studies and the president want him to become a hero in order to help him for the next elections, so he will have to be the pilot of this ship (The problem is he did not graduate, the media must think he have the command, but the mission have to succeed, so the real pilot will be you, with a remote controler, on ground).

Allowed addons : MechJeb and any autopilot you want but only stock parts an no alteration of the reality.

The score will be a multiplication of different factors :

Main score :

1. Taking off

You managed to take off ? You get some points !

Score : max Kerbin Apoapsis in KM (maximum is 100).

2. Orbit !

You managed to get to orbit ? You get some points !

Score : max Kerbin Periapsis in KM (maximum is 100).

3. Landed !

You managed to land your ship ? Congratulations !

Score : 1 (Crashed) or 5 (Touchdown !).

4. Crew capacity

- At least one of Mk1 Cockpit / Mk2 Cockpit / Mk3 Cockpit / Command Pod Mk1 / Mk1-2 Command Pod / Mk1-2 Command Pod / Mk2 Lander-can / PPD-12 Cupola Module.

- Not allowed : EAS-1 External Command Seat.

- Allowed : Mobile Processing Lab MPL-LG-2.

- Allowed : PPD-10 Hitchhiker Storage Container.

- Kerbals should be able to visit any 4 seat from ground (For the media to visit it on ground).

Score : Your crew capacity provided the media was able to visit all seats, from 0 to 4.

Options :

1. SSTO

This have to be a SSTO, KSC need to get back all the parts you borrowed them.

Score : 1 if some parts are missing, 2 if everything came back to the ground (See tie breaker bonus if you do no want to make a SSTO ).

2. Remote guidance

- At least one of Probodobodyne QBE / Probodobodyne HECS / Probodobodyne OKTO / Probodobodyne OKTO2 / Stayputnik Mk. 1 / RC-001S Remote Guidance Unit / RC-L01 Remote Guidance Unit.

- Enough solar panel or PB-NUK and batteries to have it work forever in orbit (And should keep working a whole "night"). Do not count on Munzer Kerman...

Score : 1 (No remote guidance) or 2 (Remote guidance operationnal).

3. Dockable

This is an option as our 3 friends could jump to your ship without docking, but it will be safer to use their dock. Your ship should be able to dock to a 'dry' ship, ie something that can turn to any direction but cannot move by itself (No more fuel nor mono prop) having an accessible Clamp-O-Tron Docking Port (ex : http://i.imgur.com/t2XDSvh.png but having all tanks empty).

Score : 1 (You did not dock) or 2 (You docked)

Tie breakers :

1. Cost

This is the cost of the operation, just divide the found you get recovering the ship by the found you needed to build and fuel it.

Score : 1 + Recovered price / Initial price (ie crashed = 1, free fuel flight = 2).

2. Autonomy

This is the remaining Delta-V once in orbit.

Score : 1 + DV / 1000 (max 3, ie 2000 remaining DeltaV).

3. Art

Your ship is beautiful, realistic, do not abuse any bug (Intake stacking or such). This is a completely subjective score given by the media (ie me).

Score : 1 (ugly & bug abuser) to 2 (Serenity or Millenium Falcon)

Bonus :

If you manage to think out of the box and please the president, the media, Jeb, Bill and Bob and do not steal to much stuff to KSC you may also get some credit

I am fighting since days in order to build such a plane, the real goal of this challenge is to get your ideas.

Here is my best attemps so far, my Syracuza 9 space plane. As I did not check the landing capacity of the ship before launching the mission, there was some problem when I hit the ground... Well at least Munzer is a hero and the president is not anymore bothered by his stupid son...

I'm sorry but this is CORRUPTION! This is not accepted in the United States of Kebarika. But I suggest this is possible in Krussian Aerospace...

Anyways, I will try this challenge, should be easy with an overfueled SSTO with a nuclear engine attached.

Edit: also, the recovery bonus could be cheated by loading the craft with tons of expensive and lightweight components, and recovering them to increase the percentage recovered. I recommend that this be changed to a straight subtraction of the difference, between launch value from recovery value ,from the final score.
