Radial Chute Alignment

Hi,

is it just me or is there no way to put several 90 deg turned radial chutes on a capsule exactly horizontal so the left and right side overlap the same way?

I think it depends on the capsule, and the use of the degree rotation buttons - although that may only get you "close enough"

Close enough is like an itch under your skin but you cant scratch it because its in your brain. XD

I experience it on all capsules. Mod or vanilla. And its just about half a degree or maybee one.

I think I know what you're saying, but perhaps you can post a picture?

And if it's what I'm thinking, the slopes of the pod aren't quite set up for aligning turned radial chutes very well.

This game is pretty rough on OCD people.

If I understand your problem correctly, it's not just you. The radial chute is not symmetrical lengthwise around its attachment node, so if you rotate them 90 degrees they won't line up.

What you *can* do is build your craft in the spaceplane hanger with mirror symmetry, in which case the chutes will line up, then save it as a subassembly and finish it in the VAB.
