Space Station Transfer Carrier.

Have you ever wanted to swap out the current crew of your space station with a new one?

Tired of using Space Planes in an attempt to recreate shuttles?

Do you just want a craft that will take you to your space station, and take your relieved crew home?

Introducing the Space Station Transfer Carrier, or SSTC for short.

The SSTC is less then $100000 and has only 50 parts on it. It is what you need to take one crew to your space station, and another crew home. It can fly to about 200 KM in orbit with fuel to spare for maneuvers and making it home. It has enough mono-repellent that even the noobish of dockers can dock without worry.

The SSTC is divided into three parts:

1. Boosters and Lower Launch Stage

2. Circulation and approach stage.

3. Maneuver, docking, and return stage.

Let us look at how the ship works by watching it complete a mission to a simple Station 160 KM in Space.

After being launched, the ship starts its gravity turn at about 7000 M

The Boosters then loose fuel, and are jettisoned away from the craft, leaving only the Lower Launch Stage and its four rockets left.

After the Lower Launch Stage looses fuel, it is jettisoned away to the Circulation and Approach Stage, consisting of one Medium Tank and one Rocket.

This stage circularizes the planet, and if a skilled player still has fuel left, he may use it to rendezvous with the Station.

Feel free to use the solar panels to help power your ship. The upper stage has two batteries and four solar panels.

The Approach Stage is then Jettisoned and the Docking stage is revealed.

The spaceship is on approach, but UH-OH! It seems I forgot, I put a ship up there earlier.

Time to get a crew on it.

The incoming ship is now on approach.

SUCCESS!

Now lets get this new crew on board this station. (Station core built by Kerbal Space Program rocket company Space-X.)

Now the other crew needs to get home. Thankfully, this ship still has fuel to deorbit.

The last stage separates leaving only the Capsule and Parachutes.

The ship reenters, chutes open, and splashdown!
