The Space Shuttle Challenge

OK, so here's the challenge. You need to make a manned spaceplane that:

a. Launches like a rocket (No SSTO and no Runway Launches)

b. Is able to deploy a Mobile Processing Lab into an orbit of 120 km

c. Deorbits and lands on a runway (KSC or Island Runway)

d. No crewmembers are lost during the mission

If your ship does not meet all of these requirements, you cannot enter it!!

Point Scoring: This challenge is based on the idea that MOAR STUFF = Better. These things are extra, also

EVA-Capable, i.e. an EVA to deliver a small payload to an outside rack on station (1 pt)

Interplanetary-Capable (3 pts)

Deploy Cubesats into orbit (3 pts for every cubesat)

Deploy more than one Mobile Processing Lab (10 pts for every Mobile Processing Lab)

Dock to an orbiting station to deliver the module (3 pts)

Dock to an Asteroid to deliver the module (10 pts)

Launch in the same style as the real Space Shuttle as in SRBs, External Tank, etc (100 pts)

Mods Not Allowed:

Mods that introduce Space Shuttle parts (Aerospace Parts Mods are allowed)

Hyperedit (May be used for launching the Orbital Station)

no autopilot??

That's me out. The STS systems included autopilots for good reason: they were impossible to fly without computers.

And without autopilots it does indeed get very hard.

Also, you all may be overthinking the challenge, I never said it had to be just like NASA's Space Transportation System
