oh boy, a battlecruiser with only .5 meter weapons... this will be fun.

Not really. All .5m weapons are auxiliary in this one. But they hit at >700m/s with 80m/s impact tolerance anyhow. Got a plate that can stop that from exposing stuff to the next shot? This is going to look like Macross, probably including the aiming. ^^'

I don't doubt it. This will be interesting, for sure :D

damn that's the absolute limit for my corvettes. :/ may have to work on extending the range.

What is the Dreks range?

Funny you should as... i JUST got Kerbal Engineer, and here's the comparisons (without Fuel tanks, drop tanks typically add about 1000 m/s to the ship for a total of 20 tonnes extra weight)

I'm also going to re-activate the Drekevak 15-4... i'm going to have to make some updates but it's got a full 1500 m/s advantage over my other ships... she's an awesome long range patrol ship. The others don't fare too well over long range; only the XXVII can make it to laythe, and that's just barely, with tanks. Don't expect an XIV or Mini 1H to drop into Jool anytime soon.

Here she is

The new Archangel Class Battle Cruiser [Gen 6]

Improvements include:

12 extra I beam missiles bringing her to a total or 20 I beam missiles and 4 Probeteck SRB Missiles

A firefall weapon system

and One extra engine (the 215 power one)

Now weighing in at 105 tons and has 514 parts (most are from the weapons so part count will drop)

Spartwo sense you were the only one that played I ll let you have the first download when it is finished.

Put your main engines in the first stage and leave an empty stage in between that's your D/v without any weapons on board.

thanks - the XXVII has 3,100 m/s Delta Vee, but that's still 700 m/s short of the 15-4, which is smaller by a factor of two, meaning adding two ten-ton tanks to it would increase the range even FARTHER- up to 7,500 m/s! Expect a new 15-5 to come out soon- with new weapons, better armor, and backup engines. She's gonna be awesome.

Hey guys- I'm trying to make a list of all the battles I've done, can you guys help me, I need to fill in the blanks (im forgetting some wins i think, like there was one around minmus but i can't remember who I fought) Sorry about my horrible handwriting/logic, I'll try to type it up later.

I just shot a Drek with two of my Termite anti-ship missiles from my Sparrow-class frigate. Here is the Sparrow class at 49 tons and 450 parts:Z3SeLSy.png

I mostly skimmed the bottom of it with my first shot.

After the second shot:

The forward hull cracked open and some of the missiles got destroyed.

FUN FACT! The XIV-I, when it was first released, had less than 1500 m/s delta-vee. :P wow.

@Spartwo: I'm actually a little sad... i remember the day these ships were indestructable, I just couldn't kill them... but now...

haha that wasn't a drek that was a bayonet XD I'm talking a long time ago... i couldn't kill those things to save my life... the drek is very much alive, and has 4 different (and very modern) versions.

Oh lol ok.

Edit: Im kinda iching to battle again, but only if its not below 500 tons

I want a real battle that will put will power and endurance of the player to the test. Not some cheep dogfight with fighters or something like that. If I want a dogfight, I ll wait for Squad to make multiplayer stock
