BATTLE UPDATE:

The TCMS Quiberon survived the attack, She lost one engine, and quite a lot of armour, but her missiles, half her solar panels and her probe core are still intact. It looks like the old ship's stronger than I thought.

She, albeit slowly to avoid ripping the ship's hull apart, rendezvouses with the last frigate. Ending up at the stern (I'm getting better at controlling these ships)

She fires two pairs of I-beam missiles but neither do any damage. She decides to fire one of her Impalers.

NOTE: I couldn't help but imagine the Frigate's crew saying "She's a ghost ship! Risen from the dead to sink us!":D

I had a feeling she'd pull through, hence why I rearmed for a second run! Congrats on the win!

The carrier's still there, but yeah, the Quiberon, Redoubtable and the Iron Duke still have weapons, the ability to move, and the ability to sustain power. Anyway, that was a lot of fun, thanks.:)

Wait, SRB's are 1.25 calibre, right? I might just put those things on my fighters!

So I said that I would not be battling for a while but I came up with an interesting idea.

Y'all know those challenges some people do. Well I was going to make one.

Basically the idea is using setting up targets around KSC you have to destroy. The idea an unknown enemy has taken over KSC so you have to retake it by destroying all the targets.

Yes BD Armory will be used so you can take out the targets but they will fight back

The catch: You have to keep damage to the buildings as minimal as possible.

If I make something like this would y'all be interested in doing it?

I would, although I don't know whether BD armory is even remotely safe around KSC.

I took the krakensbane limit consideration while building. I adjusted the delta-v so that it is under 600m/s, although it'll probably hit the target before it reaches that speed. I noticed something weird while testing though: the missiles performed well in the first trail, but after reloading or quicksaving, the performance became significantly worse. Seems to effect all projectiles.

Actually, whenever you are on a planetary surface, you are out of krakensbane. Krakensbane starts working when you go to orbital speeds, and it should change the way the position of each part is calculated if I understand it correctly. Since you are always at orbital speeds during battles, but not while testing at KSC... HAS to mess up with impacts, I think, doesn't it? The quicksave/quickload part is interesting, though... collisions were laggier on account of a full RAM, and that made lower damage? Hum...

Rune. Favors the fair players... or the ones with the faster computer, which isn't me by a long shot.

Also, Meet the most worthless carrier ever.Back to the drawing board for this one.... I just suck at carriers i guess.

PROS:

- it looks cool

- Laythe Capable.

CONS:

-200 tonnes,

-No armor

-1200 parts

- explodes on launch

-game crash every time It launches

-Part clipping = nightmare

- No real use for the fighters inside

- Stupidly built cargo space inside.
