The Janus fired its largest 1.25 m missile, which hit the armored lander can of Taikan. No severe damage was caused, and Janus fired her 2 smaller missiles. Both of them missed. Janus escaped to a 600 km orbit, leaving Taikan there.

I was hoping you'd fire at Horeu but I knew your best chance would have been Taikan, she's the weakest armored ship. I was just lucky enough to have her survive your attack.

Horeu will take about 6 missiles from an avenir if I do it right.

Well, I took out an Avenir, but the game crashed right after, if it didn't save that I'll be really upset....

Bleh, it didn't, had to shoot it again. Fortunately my missiles are reliable. Two hits and the Kepler went down with all hands, could've picked up the missiles from the floating carcass but I don't feel like playing that way, not too sportsmanlike to steal other's missiles.

Here's what happened:

Taikan moved into a coincident tangent to Kepler, and to keep lag down I released missiles and then let her float away to save FPS.

First missile disabled the enemy vessel, tore the engines and secondary weapons off.

Second shot snapped her, destroying the primary part and (unless I just couldn't find it) the cockpit. Crew is presumed KIA.
