As usual don't know if this is the write thread.

Anyway my question is Why do people keep saying the 64bit is unstable?

I ask this because I play KSP 64bit and it runs fine for me even when heavily modded.

Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance

Unstable doesn't mean it won't run. It means it may not run on all computers/hardware configurations and even if it does run there may be smaller issues (such as the decoupler force bug which may or may not have been fixed in 24.1)

It has a number of annoying problems with the game itself and various mods that seem to vary from person to person. It appears to have some sort of memory leak that will eventually crash either KSP or your system if you play continuously long enough. And it definitely causes a loss of functionality with many types of programmable mice that can only be cured by rebooting.
