(Battle of Britain) Polish Pilot Bravery, nothing more nothing less:-)

They're often forgotten, partially because in the UK, where most things about the battle of Britain are taught, the stereotype is that anyone Polish is a builder.

We don't all believe that polish people are builders.

The one's that do, are a bunch of idiots.

Plus, thinking that brits all think that, is a stereotype within itself.

Also, seeing as i've just finished GCSE history, I can confirm that they're often forgotten, but that's because the battle of britain isn't even taught at GCSE level. We learn more about the reasons for WW2, and the cold war.

Alot of the contributions that the Poles made are glossed over, the Polish fighter squadrons had better kill ratio than British squadrons overall, the Polish Intelligence had the first success at cracking Enigma etc.

Best quote about this, 'King George VI, on visiting a Polish squadron, asked a Polish airman what was the toughest thing he had to deal with in the war. The reply was "King's Regulations...." '

Anyways here is another video for you.

Regards.

So have I actually (waiting for results, coming pretty soon ARGH)

The ones that do think that are idiots, and unfortunately with parties like UKIP being so popular, they're becoming too vocal.
