Time Warp to Maneuver Point

Recommended Posts

Generally you'd want the burn to "straddle" the maneuver node time so that you get half the burn before and half after, so I'd suggest to instead timewarp to half the burn time before the node. Actually, I prefer to burn more before the node so it'd be even nicer to warp to half the burn time + 10% burn time.

I, too, have suffered from "warp right through the node" syndrome.

I'd like a user definable cushion of time to stop before the node, sometimes bigger ships can take a fair bit of time to get turned properly.

Currently I use Kerbal Alarm Clock for this functionality (among others, really useful mod), but something similar should make its way into stock at some point.

Something like this DOES exist in stock, it was introduced as a hidden feature in the code (like many other things in .24), I found it and worked it into my mod to save the effort of replicating what KAC does (it goes about it differently as well).

It's existence likely points to improvements to the warp system that will happen in the future.

Is there any way for a common player to interact with it in stock? Or is it just ground work being laid for the future as you mention.

No, it works mostly but it seems to be in a slightly unfinished state internally, so they may have held off doing anything with it for now as they focus on career and contracts.
