Mk2 cockpit is ugly

Recommended Posts

Without wishing to rock the boat too much...

I actually like the Mk2 cockpit and it's normally my first choice for a very small spaceplane. It's more useful that the Mk1 because you can place things in front of it, I normally use it with a shielded docking port on there and I think the quirky look suits Kerbal rather well.

I would have to say that without doubt the Mk3 is the ugly ducking of the bunch and if you want to make something that looks good then "Spaceplane+" is the way to go without adding too many parts.

By the way, /victorian Gentleman needs to be a thing. Can we please make that a thing?

As long as no fedoras are involved... shudders

I just hope to see the mk3 part series overhauled. The new mk1 is very nice indeed, but that's the one that needed an update the least.

I don't think it looks bad, but it does not blend in with the game. It looks as it was taken from a completely different universe.

I could probably say the same about Mk1.

The Mk3 cockpit on the other hand is an ugly one, in my opinion. :-/

Pretty much this. The smaller cockpits have this almost sci-fi look to them. I know the stock parts don't have a universal look anyway but the cockpits are particularly off.

the main problem with MK2 is the texture, why would they make it a totally different colour scheme to all the other parts? if it was just the same colour as the MK1 it would be halfway decent.

When looking at the last two Dev notes, this seems to get some attention in .25. There is talk of re-modeling, re-designing and texture stuff too, if i am not mistaken. I think our guys at SQUAD are pretty much aware of what needs to be done. Lets give them some time to prove it.

The cockpit glass on the mk1 and 2 is the worst part for making them look scifiy, especially on the mk2 with it's weird shapes, it doesn't fit at all.

I am terribly sorry my good sir, but what are your justifications for this position? In fact, what is your position? It seems as if you disagree, but it is not made clear in your post. I happen to agree with Mr. Flcl, the Mk2 cockpit has an unsatisfactory appearance and looks as if it is meant for recreations of propeller planes, even though this game does not include propellers as a means of generating thrust. It also has an almost nonexistent IVA, something that brings me great frustration when trying to create aeroplanes of a new and experimental design. Also, in addition, I would like to bring to attention your lack of capitalization and the very obvious absence of a period at the end of your sentence. If you were attempting to parody, lampoon, or otherwise spoof the character of a coastal weightlifter then I applaud your very convincing act. However, upon closer inspection of your posting history, it seems as if this is, indeed, not an act, and is, in fact, the way you normally speak on internet forums. In this case I wish you great luck in future letters and contacts with businesses, friends, and acquaintances.
