Right click to close sci-bay jr. and goo pods

Recommended Posts

Right now action groups are required to close the doors on the Science bay jr, and the Goo canisters. I don't want harmless orange light to taint the experiment results when I hit an atmosphere with open tests. So if it became possible to close those mid flight, and not need to worry about setting up action groups ahead of time, that would be most pleasant.

It's only aesthetic, but would be appreciated.

Wait, you can CLOSE the science bay door and goo canisters?

Oh. Hehe. Yeah, a possibility for closing it with the right-click menu would be a good idea. *integrates science-closing action groups in his rockets*

By the way, what's up with your signature? :D did you have to change it to the kitten? xD

I don't like how you can recover an experiment that occurred in orbit and get more science than if you transmitted the results. I'm no expert but doesn't that kind of destroy the experiment? When you return it, the goo would exhibit different properties so what insight could doing so yield?

I'm aware the OP was about the doors only, but this is tangentially related. I think science deserves some attention.

I had no idea those action groups were even available. I wonder how much of a difference it would make with FAR.

@tntristan12

I think of most of the experiments as sample gathering with limited analysis functions. A good example would be NASA's Genesis mission, which returned samples of solar wind. And, yes, I wish we could catch falling probes with helicopters in KSP.
