New tech node

Unfortunately there isn't an easy way to do this short of using a mod like Treeloader, and as far as I know absolutely no way to do it while adhering to Squad's modding rules given it's all in private variables we aren't supposed to be accessing.

I've seen that for example KWRocketry adds "Experimental Rocketry" to stock tree (Without Treeloader)

That's actually just a hidden node that Squad built into the tree specifically for use by mods. I use those in BTSM as well.

But basically that doesn't even require any code, you can just add a part to those nodes via the config files and if those invisible nodes contain any parts, they'll automatically be displayed. There's a whole other tech level beyond the last one in vanilla with such invisible nodes in it. They're unfortunately not very flexible though as you can't just add them anywhere in the tree or modify which parent nodes are required to unlock them for example.
