Can you change how far into the past it looks on the "recent activity" page?

If you post a few things, wait a few days, check back, post a few things, wait a few days, then check back, then the default settings for the member profile page make it always say "No New Activity" because it appears to be only looking about 1 or 2 days back.

As far as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a setting on the profile for changing this time period. For posters who wait a few days between posts, it's really not a useful setting they way it is now. Can it be changed, or can a user-settable option exist for it?
