the HUD of the EVA is not relevant at all!

Recommended Posts

at EVA, i'll be interested in his velocity of the kerbal & his direction of movement(when i do rendezvous with an orbiting vessel). i dont really need the elevation when on the ground, and of course i dont need to know the atmospheric pressure(in fact, i almost dont needs this bar at all. who the heck is looking at that??)

so what i suggest is that in EVA mode, the Navball should be displayed. why Squad thought that will be a good thing to hide it while EVAing?

I think it's because in EVA, you wouldn't have all the fancy spacecraft controls at your disposal, you'd have to rely on your jetpack skills. So adding the Navball wouldn't make much sense... however, there are plenty of moments when I would also love to have that thing available.

tell me, where would an kerbonaut see a nav ball? they can see the inside of their helmet and their hands. so it makes sense that they cant see the navball unless they are in a ship. I like that you cant see it, adds some depth to the game.

Who says that a miniature compass and gyroscope can't be built into an EVA suit, especially as a "wristwatch?" and what about the fact that you can access map mode and all of its fancy orbit calculation equipment while on EVA? It is arguably more immersive to have the navball locked, but in that case map mode should also be locked (or somehow simplified) for EVA as well. Perhaps an EVA navball could be unlockable in the tech tree.

at least the velocity. i dont want to risk when moving kerbals at minimum dV i can, you know that kerbals can survive relatively high collision speeds...
