Engine test stand for KSC

I am suggesting an test stand for engines for the following reason.

There are some contracts in KSP that involve testing engines without launching.

Because of that, having an engine testing area in the KSC would be rather useful in my opinion.

In-game it could work that the contracts involving engine ground testing would be done at the engine testing area, while the contracts involving in-flight engine testing would remain as it is now.

But it should be available in Sandbox as well.(There you could use it just for fun)

So what do you think of my idea?

I just use a launch clamp or, before clamps are available, a cobbled together "ship" with the engine pointing upwards. Looks kind of like a test stand.

Or simple strip the engine of all fuel. An engine test does not require the engine to actually fire and produce thrust. All it needs is to be activated through staging when all other conditions are met.

Probe core, engine, stage. Contract complete.

You can test the engine with no fuel

You can test the engine with zero thrust set

You can mount the engine nozzle up on a command pod or probe core

Any of the above will ensure you successful test with no accidents.
