That was the plan. I wanted to get to Laythe, taking off from the runway using only stock parts and the mighty Mechjeb (to do the actual flying once we hit space :) )

Things didn't quite go as planned. Even now, Bill can be seen streaking across the sky, wondering how he'll get home.

Well, actually, he's probably going to use the lander to reach the spaceport runway, but for the moment he's just trying to come up with a plan...
