Wernher And Jebs’ Torus

While researching one summers day,

I was interrupted, to my dismay,

By Jebediah, crazy fool

Who I avoided as a rule

He greeted me, in kerbal style,

With an explosion, and a smile

Said he, “Hello, I represent,

The Kerbonauts, who are hell bent,

On getting better residence,

We might as well just live in tentsâ€Â

I said, “I’ll see what I can do

A capsule maybe? One or Two?"

But no, I took as his reply,

As, said he, with a grin so wry,

“Come on Wernher, please don’t bore us!

Build a massive Stanford torus!

“Oh no!†I said, “That’s quite absurd!

Do you fully comprehend that word?â€Â

“Oh yesâ€Â, said he “t’would be a Disgrace,

For a spacebound pilot ace,

To not know a new design,

Of rocket, or space airline

So what do you say, are you with me?â€Â

He hopped and wrung his mitts with glee

I sighed and rolled my eyes, and flopped,

Beside my counter (Marble topped)

And with some help from Scott Manley,

And some mods (Just two or three)

I drew up, built, and launched to space,

A giant doughnut looking place.

And Jeb still lives there, to this day,

Just as I like him, far away
