None of my rockets fly straight anymore...

Recommended Posts

Like the title says, none of my designs fly straight anymore. I've been playing the last few days with no issues at all. Now, anything I try to fly, even past designs that worked flawlessly, will nose-over shortly after launch. What settings could I have possibly change to cause this? TIA

URGENT: SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY!

There are several possible causes:

  • You have lost your fingers - cauterisation required before gangrene sets in
  • You have lost feeling in your fingers - numerous potential causes; hypothermia indicated
  • You have installed mods but forgotten - severe dementia suggested
  • You have installed mods you don't want to tell us about - paranoia may be an symptom of several conditions

Otherwise, no, there aren't any standard settings that can affect vehicles like that.

@ Umbral - glad you liked the other post ;-)

OOps, yes I do apologise to anyone who may be offended by this. Contact me and I'll delete it. Sorry - I was just trying to say "what are we meant to diagnose?" in a more light-hearted way than usual.

There is one reason, witch is not obvious in first place and may cause your problems:

If you have connected a game controller or a joystick/rudders to your PC, they will be recognized by KSP. Because you can fly your spaceplanes/rockets with this.

You can under Settings/input/StagingUI set up your analoge controls for pitch/roll/yaw and thrust. Increase the deadzone in this case to a point, where a slight deviation from the "zero position" of the device will not be regognized as input.

Very nice catch, Heagar, that's exactly what it was. I haven't plugged/unplugged any of my controllers in lately, but I guess the calibration of one of these got changed, although I have no idea how. Thanks!
