Career Mode Inop. (Numerous reinstalls)

Main menu has 3 options: Sandbox, Science and Career. Deleted KSP from steam and user files. Manually deleted any remaining files in steam. No dice on reinstalls. Same problems every time: Selected career mode the continue, main menu disappears, still see mun with no options, game still running (not locked up), career mode loading does not begin. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong but I am lost. Please help!

Are you able to start any of the three options? Often times when the game sticks at this point, it's because the folder permissions are not set up correctly. You'll have to set permissions based on whatever operating system you're using.

Beyond that, I recommend you take a look at the stickies. They'll guide you on how to provide us some more information so that we can better answer your problem. (That keeps us from blindly guessing.)
