Resume saved game not working,

Killed persistence file, removed all modded ships. Still unable to resume saved game.

Ideas? Removed last mod added, romfarers lazer guided weapons. Started new game, and still no resume saved game.

You most likely have a truncated (corrupt) save file. If you open the debug console (Alt+F12, or Alt+F2) and attempt to Resume Saved, it should tell you which file it cannot load. Once you've located the broken file, you'll need to either remove the persistent.sfs (along with the entire savegame) or restore a recent backup by copying another file in (a quicksave will work fine if you have a recent one) and renaming it to persistent.sfs.

If you're using a laptop (like i was having this problem with) one must press the "Fn" key whilst holding F5 to save....and then HOLD "Fn + F9" to load! Only had this problem once i started using my new laptop.

OH got it if you killed persistence file then you can't resume saved make sure you replace or put the correct persistence file as well as quicksave.

thankfully in new versions instead of not able to click resume saved it will ask you ''Some saves are incompatible should you delete them?'''something like that.
