Voyage to the Mun, a stereoscopic adventure (in glorious 3D)

You got hooked by the title, didn't you?

This thread is to document, in side-by-side stereoscopic 3D, a trip to the Mun.

To see the 3D, cross your eyes until the two images overlap, you'll probably have to try focusing on different parts of the image, trying to get them lined up, but if all goes according to plan, they should suddenly snap into focus.

First, the rocket containing our brave Kerbonauts is assembled and rolled out to the launch pad. Nerves are high as this is an experimental craft, and has never been flown before:

The main engines fire, and just when it seems like the mighty rocket must shake itself to pieces, it rises clear of the launch clamps, and accelerates into the sky:

The familiar buildings of the Kerbal Space Centre start to disappear beneath the cloud layer. It will be a long time before the brave explorers see them again, if ever:

And on the other side, the first glimpse of the target:

More to follow as the mission develops (I'm still flying it at the moment, so if you're lucky, you could see some stereoscopic explosions!)

Picking up the Munar lander from its fairing. The docking goes smoothly:

The Mun looms ever-closer in front of the explorers:

Until finally, they are ready to perform the capture burn:

And enter orbit above the surface of the Mun:

By the way, let me know if anybody is actually looking at/enjoying these. I kind of feel like I'm talking to myself here!

Jeb makes the short spacewalk from the command module to the lander:

And after a short retrograde burn, is on his way to the surface:

Throttles down above the landing zone:

And touches down safely on a slight slope, before taking a #selfie

An aerial view of the landing site makes Jeb and his lander seem awfully small:

These are pretty cool! I remember doing this same thing with those weird pattern things that would make 3d stuff show up.

My only problem is that I have to lean way back to get it to work without being blurry, and the images are quite small, but making them bigger doesn't seem to help either. :(

Xaiier, I should thank you for a lot of this, actually. Most of it was done using the pause feature on your time control mod
