How Do You Make An Airlock/Ladder On A Part?

Recommended Posts

Yes, before you ask anything, I did look at this tutorial. Anyway, I'm trying to put an airlock on this part I created, and I honestly don't know what to do. Am I supposed to create a new mesh in Blender for it? Is it supposed to be textured? And in the tutorial, it tells you to make tags for Airlock and Ladder. What do I put for the Elements and Size of those Tags? And it's talking about 0.16 KSP part tools, and now there's 0.23, so chances are it's outdated. So, could someone please clearly explain what I'm supposed to do?

Also, this is the part in question:

Create a cube in blender, you can duplicate this for the ladder/airlock. Once in unity, change both objects into mesh colliders(you don't need to use a box collider). Check the "is trigger" for both objects. Set the layer for both to part triggers. Set tags for each one, "Airlock" and "Ladder". Make sure Part Triggers is on 21st layer.

So, Aries-Ib has no parttools on it, (Because then it would be a cube for some reason in game) so GameObject, I suppose? I'll try that now. Also, at the beginning it says that it should be in the center of the object. But, later on in an image, it has the coordinates not in the center, so should later on I change it to be the location/coordinates of where i want the Airlock/Ladder to be?
