Wrong state for craft when splashed on Laythe

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i'm having a problem when i try to land a small craft on a floating platform an Laythe.

While the platform is floating alone its state is "splashed", but as soon as the other small craft is landed on the platform the state is changed to "landed".

The state wouldn't be a problem but as soon as i use the time-warp, switch to the craft from more than 2.3km or from the KSP it jumps down to the ground of the sea and most of the time explodes.

The weird thing is when i try the exact same thing on Kerbin or Eve everything behaves as expected.

The quicksaves from the two situations:

When the "quicksave_landed" file is loaded the platform immediately jumps to the ground of the sea.

I also looked into the savefiles and maybe found the error: For the platform it says:

sit = LANDED
landed = True
landedAt =
splashed = True

which seems like a mix of landed and splashed

Edit: The same combination also occurres on Eve and Kerbin when a craft is landed on the platform but there the crafts behave normal.

Has anyone experienced the same problem and found a solution to this?

Specs:

KSP Version: 0.24.2

Build: 5592014-07-25_12-26-07 Branch: Master

System: Windows 7 Professional 64Bit

Thanks for any help in advance,

Nils

Seems to be a problem where Landed means to be (on ground) or splashed (touching water). So when hitting 0 mps and touching a hard surface, but not interacting with water, It would be "landed".. Where touchign water would be "splashed". Laythe I believe doesnt have a "water" surface persey, So perhaps there is an invisable variable that wasn't assigned to that particular "Liquid" which would tell your landing pad that it is "splash-landed"... I believe it is looking for a "landed" surface to start on when returning to the ship at an X,Y cooridinate because its saying the ship is "landed".. So it hunts for Z (up and down) since the "splashed" vehicle isn't holding the correct variable for "splash landed" in my hypothetical scenario, Its going downward to find the next thing that is a hard surface.. the ocean floor... That's all i can think of..
