Oculus made the dev kit 1 completely open source few days ago, both software and hardware. I think this is a great move from them and I really like the fact that they are promoting competition this way.

The hardware is released under the creative commons 4 licence and the software is released under a custom licence, which means that any other company can use the assets as long as they credit Oculus.

What are your thoughts on this?
