Escape 3k & 6k

Recommended Posts

Updated with probably the simplest rocket to ever get to orbit or escape velocity.

Traveling to another planet for a vacation? Need to get away from it all? On the run from the Kerbal government? Low on cash?

Escape 3k is the ship for you!

Made completely from parts traded everywhere on Kearth, this cheap and clean ship will help you make a quick getaway when you really need it.

The booster stage alone will accelerate you to nearly 1km/s. None of this onslaught of parts to get an extra few miles.

At SimpCon Industries, we keep things simple. One stage rocket to orbit or beyond!

Barely scraping past 3km/s :D

At only 8475 Kerbals, the Escape 3k will take you to orbit and past it!

Made completely with vanilla parts.

- 1 Command Module

- 1 SAS Modules

- 5 Fuel Tanks

- 1 Liquid Engine

- 1 Decoupler

Max Velocity: 3001.8 m/s

And now, our slightly more expensive franchise, the Escape 6k!

With only 3 simple stages, this sleek rocket has the power to send you to more than twice the speed as before, or into orbit with more than two completely full tanks of fuel.

However, you're going to have to steer the ship yourself this time. Hey, when you're going 6.5km/s, you'll thank me. :)

Now that's a fast ship. And for a low 20030 Kerbals, too!

Made completely with vanilla parts.

- 1 Command Module

- 1 Tri-Coupler

- 19 Fuel Tanks

- 4 Liquid Engines

- 4 Decouplers

Max Velocity: 6583.2 m/s

Fly safe with SimpCon! :)

I guess the decouplers as the bottom/first stage aren't actually required, as they stay on the launch pad due to being the first part activated at launch. ;)

They actually are required in order to get the ship enough lift to get off the ground. ;)

Was about to ask how you got the stage numbers (4+5+6) that are underneath the first/bottom stage, as building an identical rocket it doesn't get those 'extra' numbers and still won't lift off the pad?

Not sure what you mean. I only get 1 though 4 in the stage numbers.

Also, you have to press space in quick succession on the first two stages to get the ship off the launchpad.
