Part Invisible In Game but Visible in the Menu

I made fairing part today. I did all the usual unity jazz and then wrote it to a .mu. I opened up Ksp and the part was there in the menu but when I tried to add it to my craft it was invisible. Anyone got any idea what could be happening? Thanks

either your UV is wrong or you have more than one material assigned in unity..

if it's the latter, what I suspect, open up the mesh-renderer panel, set the number to 1 and make sure it's the right material..

that should do the trick..

It's not always as simple as removing an extra material in unity. If the material was assigned in the 3d modeling program then whichever part of the mesh has that material will disappear if you remove it in unity. It needs to be removed in blender/3ds max.

Thanks for replying... however that doesn't seem to be whats wrong, unless I misunderstood

you. The shades seem to the same and the number is 1.

your uv is facing the wrong way then. You must've uv'ed the inside faces instead of the outside ones.

Thanks again, but the normals and UVs seem fine. I got it working though, I used .fbx not .dae.
