qeveren
Does atmospheric friction not apply to discarded bits once they pass outside of visual rendering distance or something? According to my tracking station I have objects in stable orbits with perikerb below 20km ???
Capt'n Skunky
Does atmospheric friction not apply to discarded bits once they pass outside of visual rendering distance or something? According to my tracking station I have objects in stable orbits with perikerb below 20km ???Currently, items that go on rails can orbit very low as the atmospheric drag seems to be turned off for objects on rails. You can manually End Flight these objects if you select them to be rid of them if you want.Cheers!Capt\'n SkunkyKSP Community Manager
lars
I have had some parts disappear with a perigee of 4km though. I think there must be a magic number of minimum perapsis.
Capt'n Skunky
Get low enough and a mountain can pick off debris.Cheers!Capt\'n SkunkyKSP Community Manager
