"Extras" Feature in Main Menu

Extras feature would be a polishing thing, for after scope-completion. Although, it might be simple enough to warrant inclusion alongside more major features.

You click on extras (which would take the place of the current "community" selection, and you're directed to a selection menu.

Cinematics

This would play the Cinematic Animations, perhaps slightly edited to remove specific advertisments. Also, descriptions of the video with in-game lore.

Originally a mockup demonstration model of a Space Program, this film pitched the idea of a Space Program to the public. A decent first impression, we suppose.

A short film made to showcase the most well known Astronauts, They accidentally recorded over the good take and we were left with the blooper reel.

Either that was the day that a spacecraft crashed, or their favorite sports team was losing again.

This was an old film made to showcase all the achievments of KSP by that point. Man, the lenses on those cameras are WEIRD! Kerbin isn't THAT yellow-ish!

It was Bob's Birthday or something, so Jebediah made a cake or something. We're pretty sure they made it back to Kerbin mostly intact, though the cake blew up into sparks and debris.

Every year on Derptember 25th, a Santa Kerman attempts to deliver presents to all of Kerbin. He usually fails in doing it in an unconventional way, and ends up using snail mail. This was one of his first attempts.

Wernher von Kerman and his assistant Linus Kerman were working on an unconventional device, powered by technology of a previous era. It was mainly based on a contract from a company called Steam, that would start sponsoring the Kerbal Space Program.

Needless to say, the following rescue mission was unsuccessful.

Spooky Day is a holiday created from the superstition that Krakens could be found on the land. Ancient Kerbals thought that scaring the Krakens would keep them away. Of course, this is just plain ridiculous, as Krakens aren't afraid of anything.

It was Bob's birthday again, but this time he was stuck on Eve. So we went ahead and sent him a cake.

The Advanced Grabbing Unit: It chooses who will go and who will stay. We still feel kinda sad for leaving Billifred hanging there with that high-five.

This film was made in a studio, as evident by the totally unrealistic physics. Some conspiracy nuts started saying we never went to the Mun in the first place! Unbelievable! Needless to say, these conspiracy nuts were later sent on an unplanned-one-way mission to the Mun, so all is good.

This was an advertisement that played during commercial breaks on TV soap operas.

hmm neat idea although personally if i were to do cinematics i would have it where there would have to a press conference cinematic whenever buildings are ever destroyed...

although new songs would be nice especially since i would just play some David Bowie whenever on nowadays
