How far can you get in the Demo?

I was poking through the 'Other Games' forum on a gaming website I frequent and saw this game mentioned. I\'ve downloaded the demo, and have played for the last hour or so. Maybe I just am not getting it, but I haven\'t been able to get even close to reaching orbit. Is it me, or is the demo just that limited?

You can definitely get into orbit and even land on the moon with the demo. The full version lets you launch multiple ships, adds a few new parts and allows you to use modules made by other people. Take a look at the wiki, there are some nice tutorials there for orbiting, landing on the mun and other stuff...

The demo version supports mods made for that version but does not support plugins. Otherwise pretty much everything else can be done.

so I need to download addons then to do more than a sub orbital flight?

No, the addons are just to make things more interesting. You can go to the mun with parts that come in the demo version, without any addons.

No, you just need to know how to get into orbit-the key idea is that you need to thrust sideways-if you just fire upwards, you\'ll simply fall down again. Take a look at, (or ask on) the \'how to\' forum, I know there\'s a guide on their somewhere.

Look in the spacecraft exchange, there\'s plenty. Some examples; 1 2 3.
