Weird Staging Problem

Recommended Posts

I'm having a weird staging problem on a rocket where four Kerbodyne-size stack decouplers are meant to fire at the same time. Instead, they're firing one at a time - I have to hit the space bar four times to get them all off. The decouplers were attached via four-fold symmetry, they weren't put on one-by-one, and I've definitely got them all grouped to fire at the same time.

I'm not messing with the staging in-flight at all. The only possible cause I can think of is that I used control-z once when I was building the rocket.

Completely clean install. I'll post a picture as soon as I can, provided I can get a good one to illustrate the problem.

you can change the staging in the VAB as well on the right side, hit reset and see how it ends up

Reseting did nothing, sadly. It's an asparagus staged rocket so I've been changing staging in VAB extensively as is.

I will also point you at this thread, it will help you with providing a bit more info: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/92230-Stock-Support-Bug-Reporting-Guide

Is this on 64-bit? This problem sounds familiar, but I haven't been using the 64-bit version myself.

I'll try to comply with these guidelines as best I can...

KSP Version: Steam. 32-bit as far as I know, although I'm on a 64-bit machine I was under the impression Steam automatically launched the 32-bit version.

What Happens: Instead of firing all four Kerbodyne-sized decouplers which are grouped together in a single stage at once, they fire one at a time.

I don't know how to replicate or work around. I can't seem to attach files, but here are some screenshots:

I don't see anything unusual in your pictures that would cause your problem.

If you could, find the file called "buildID.txt" it should look something like this inside...

build id = 559
2014-07-25_12-26-07
Branch: master

That will also confirm you have the latest version.

And you can upload your craft to a place like mediafire or dropbox, you can link to it here. Then we can download and give your ship a try.

Cheers,

~Claw
