I heard that Von Braun worked to create true space rocket for Hitler, i just wonder does Americans used A12 rocket plans and with of Americans rocket are real A 12 :D

A-12 was designed with low-ISP low-T/W LOX/Alcohol engines; it would be pretty much useless to anyone with more efficient engines. If built, it'd have been about the size of Saturn V, with about a tenth of the payload capability.

Yeah, not to mention it used a ridiculous number of engines in one of it's stages. AlcoLOX really isn't the best fuel mix, it was all they had in the early days, since the alcohol most commonly used is essentially a very high quality vodka (and Russian rocket techs reportedly used it for that purpose, too :) ) and LOX isn't anything new, either. Once they developed better, purpose-made mixtures, AlcoLOX became completely obsolete, though it recently resurfaced as a proposed RCS propellant for the PPTS, because it's still cheaper than KeroLOX (somehow, I don't think loading ethyl alcohol onto a Russian spacecraft is a good idea, though... Especially as an entry orientation propellant).
