Access violation

hi all,

im kinda new and overwhelmed by all the threads so sorry in advance if this post has been made before.

im getting a following error bug KSP.exe caused a access violation (0xC0000005) in module ksp.exe at 0023:01a6b6e7.

i have KER, alarmclock, hot rockets and eve+avp installed.

ive done several clean installs even going so far as to hunt down rogue reg snipits. still getting the crashes.

the problem first cropped up with the new B9 mod. after adding the mod the game made a coin toss of starting or crashing. after removing the mod and doing a clean install ( with removal of all the local data except the save file) the problem kept on re appearing. ive done the standard QC run adding and removing mods with no solution. on the date of this post the game run for over 16 hours with no problems, and al of a sudden it crashed and was unable to recover for over a hour.

both ksp 32 and 64bit gave the same problem.

mem use was below 3 gig and cpu was also well within limits.

drivers and stuff are all up to date.

temp was all within tolerances.

system specs:

windows 8.1 pro 64bit

cpu intel I7 3820 3.6ghz

16 gb ram

gpu: gtx 760 2x

psu: corsair 1200 watt AX1200I

does anyone have any advice or direction to where i should be looking?

Having the same problem with access violation crashes. It ow happens every 10 minutes or so. Just suddenly started the other day. I thought it might have something to do with Active texture Management as that was what I installed when it started happenning. But removing it alone changed nothing nor did reinstalling the game. Not even with different save files.

First things first. which version of ksp are you using? Are you using .24.2 or .25? If your using .25, several of the mods listed in your log are not updated to .25 yet. I would try removing them and see if that fixes your problem. Also keep only the newest update for modulemanager and delete the other one.

@tobjv at the time of writhing the post it was still .24.2 and not .25 it wasnt released yet. at present i do have .25 installed but the problem remains. its a complete new install (had some grafics issues but thats another problem) so no mods installed atm.

Lol woops didn't check the date of the post... The .25 graphics issues happened for most of us since the settings.log was wiped though. Since you said it's still happening on a clean install with no mods (post the logs for that btw) it could be a computer itself issue. Things like file location and whether or not your admin on your computer can give out those errors.
