a spaceplane can actuual work with RAPIER engines now....

so I made a spaceplane with the new parts:

yes it has no wheels. I did fix that eventually......

and the new IVAs are pretty good.......

spaceplanes don't usually work for me but this one did somehow......

the pilots did not enjoy the flight....

not until the orbits were stable anyway.

so they did an EVA and I found there was no fuel left

Nice to see, I'm not the only one suddenly being able to build and fly those things.

The new parts are really nice, though I mostly end up with planes looking like a Klingon Bird of prey
