KSC Waterworld

Recommended Posts

I've installed a fresh new 0.25 version and started a new career. The space center is rendered as floating in the sea, and all of Kerbin is missing, but kerbals can still walk on the water where the ground is supposed to be. I've tried various graphics settings and both the 32-bit and 64-bit Linux versions. 0.24 worked fine, just not 0.25.

Any ideas?

Here's the hardware info, build version, log and screenshot:

It was installed from the .zip downloaded from Squad. The sha1sum is:

Any new ideas?

update:

I've installed the proprietary NVidia drivers and that fixed the problem. It doesn't explain why the latest update stopped working with the Noveau drivers though.

Please see this link: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/92230-Stock-Support-Bug-Reporting-Guide

It's very hard to guess what might be wrong without details (such as log files).

Thanks, and welcome to the forums! :D

Same issue here exactly. Kerbin has no visible surface. If you fly around your craft will collide with the ground where the ground is supposed to be, but you can't see it.

Version 0.25.0 build id = 00642

I've been having the exact same issue on both my 32 and 64 bit Linux versions. I'm not entirely certain why, but disabling the SM3 Terrain Shaders from the settings menu and resetting the program seems to work. Granted the ground does look strange, but I think that's just because of the missing shaders. At least the ground is visible.
