v0.25 Parachutes deployed after reloading a quikesave are no longer deployed

Recommended Posts

KSP Version: v0.25 (previously reported on V0.24 as well)

What Happens: Parachutes deployed after reloading a quikesave are no longer deployed and are in "Cut" mode when reloaded.

Mods / Add-Ons: All Stock

Steps to Replicate:

1) Make ship with parachutes.

2) Gain altitude and wait until gravity pulls you back.

3) Deploy chutes.

4) Quikesafe (F5)

5) Quikeload (F9)

Result: instead of resuming falling with chutes deployed, your ship accelerates to terminal velocity until impact.

Fixes/Workarounds:

- Don't quikesafe/reload while chutes are deployed.

I read them and there is nothing in there that the bug is still persistent in v0.25 presuming that all known issues are fixed that are known.

As i already stated in the first line: (previously reported on V0.24 as well)

In that case, I'll refer you to the official bug tracker for a list of 500+ open bugs. :P SQUAD doesn't fix every known issue with every update, concentrating instead on adding features. This particular bug dates back to 0.23.5, but it's easy to work around and fix by editing the save file.

It's a fair bet that Claw hasn't had a chance to test all of those issues specifically on 0.25. I only had time to update the Mac-specific issues thread today and my part's much easier because there were only 7 issues to test.

Indeed. I am working on a new thread, that encompasses the more recent additions to our bug family. This bug was already reported for 0.25, but I still appreciate reports. Especially when they follow the bug report guide. :D

Thanks for the heads up!

Cheers,

~Claw
