Making Numbers

Start counting from 1, but there's a catch: you can only use one digit and only use each operation once!

Rules:

  • Select one digit, any of 0 through 9, for each post. It doesn't have to be the same as in other posts.
  • Using that digit as often as you like, and each of the allowed operations at most once per calculation, express as many whole numbers in sequence as you like.
  • Addition: "As often as you like" is limited to a finite number of times. No repeating decimals and no infinity tricks.
  • For the sake of clarity, you can write numbers with your digit repeated, such as 11.
  • You may freely use brackets to group operations, but may not use them to indicate multiplication.
  • Do not skip numbers.
  • If you post duplicates, leave them.
  • All calculations in decimal please. No hex, binary, etc.
  • Strictly no double-posting!

Allowed operations:

  • Current: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

I'll start us off

1 = 2/2

2 = 2

3 = 2+2/2

4 = 2+2

5 = 2x2+2/2

6 = 2x2+2

7 = 2x(2+2)-2/2

8 = 2x(2+2)

9 = 22/2-2

And that's as far as I can go, I can't seem to make 10 out of 2's. The next person can freely use a different digit, for example 5, to make 10 and subsequent numbers.

Even if you could, that's not exactly 18 :P

But I suppose I'll let it pass for being a clever solution. And make some rule changes to preclude a repeat.

19 = 22-(2+2/2)

20 = 22-2

21 = 22-2/2

22 = 22 (lol)

23 = 22+2/2

24 = 22+2

25 = 22+(2*2-2/2)

26 = 22+(2*2)

Edit: Sun, that's invalid. You used three different digits in your calculation.

Both invalid I'm afraid, thanks to two multiplications and two subtractions respectively.

When we get truly stuck I'll allow more operations like exponentiation, but for now it's just the primary school four.
