If I am reading your log file correctly, KSP is only being given ~256MB of RAM. Try closing everything else so that KSP is the only program running, and upload a new log file.

Also, you could remove SpacePlanePlus since most of those parts are stock in 0.25.

What Station Science mod do you have? It shows it in the KSP/Plugins directory: C:\Users\owner\Desktop\Kerbal Space Program\Plugins\StationScience.dll. All current mods should be installed under GameData. Is that an old version or is it installed in the wrong place?

I have the same problem, Win 7 64bit, 32G memory - should be enough imo.

I'm gonna try the texture management pack next.

Just posting again to report that installing the Active Texture Management plugin (http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/59005-0-25-Release-3-8-Oct-16-2014-Active-Texture-Management-Save-RAM!) helped, now it loads all the way to start screen. I'm gonna have to wait until my son (who is the one who actually plays the game) gets home so I can see whether it works in actual game play as well.

Yeah, even the x64 build has been known to crash at the 32bit line, ~3.2GB. So although having 32GB RAM is nice, it won't help until Windows x64 KSP is more stable.
