SR-81 (SSTO SpacePlane)

The first successful SSTO I've ever produced. Slightly resembles the SR-71, hence the title.

I've constructed three separate variants, a cargo, and docking variant, as well as one capable of holding 6 Kerbals. :(:(

As far as my capability goes flying the craft I was able to get this thing into a stable 100KM orbit. I have yet to stress test each variant, but will plan on doing so in the future.

Those crafts look cool!

Did you manage to do some orbital transfers or deorbit?

Cause I want to know how much fuel it has after reaching orbit.

(mine looks a bit more like the SR-71 check out my signature (no offensive) )

This was all one mission, I was able to deploy a little probe from the cargo bay, then rendezvous with a little station I had setup beforehand.

One suggestion before trying the craft out, I may have screwed up the landing gear a bit. Replacement should be easy, but it likes to lose control on takeoff now.

A quick tweak fixed it.

Some aircraft tend to veer off the runway while taking off for no reason. I still don't know why. It just happens.

Did you keep the Kerbals in a pod inside the cargo bay? (other than those at the flight deck)

I did not. The plane had plenty of fuel to spare after the rendezvous, though. Enough to deorbit, and land. It could definitely handle a heavier payload.
