Can we get a hotkey for the struts in the VAB

it would be nice to not have to grab one from the parts list every time when securing massive space cathedrals

yeh i heard today the next update will have a more organised UI in the VAB, with more tabs so hopefully a favorites tab, although you can already save a part on the right most tab.

but i would like to just be able to push 'B' and get a strut ready to go. when you build a x8 radial ship using x2 placement the amount of struts needed is insane

As a workaround, alt-clicking the strut you just placed grabs another one to place.

As a bonus the copied struts will try to go to the same position to attach. So you can copy struts up and down a stack of rockets and have them all attatched to boosters.

Struts and fuel lines could be useful, but right now you can pick one, and copy and paste them everywhere using the alt command.

So adding another button to add struts wont save much more time.

It would also be good with if the new mirroring options they spoke of let you mirror struts either side of a booster back to the main hull while also adding struts to the radial symmetry boosters a the same time.

Even better, a repeat last part button. Though the alt trick will make life easier, as long as you have a good aim.

This would be a great addition. To be honest, mine would just be the entire structural tab.
