Bat Challenge

Recommended Posts

Simply build and fly a craft (rocket or spaceplane) that after reaching a stable orbit can, land on and take off from a surface with an inclination of between 85 and 90 degrees.

- You may use any version of KSP.

- You may use any version of Kerbal Attachment System.

- You may use any version of Infernal Robotics.

- You must use Kerbal Engineer (you can't show that the slope is steep enough without it)

- NO OTHER MODS ALLOWED!

- Extra Credit:

- No parts break during any portion of the flight.

- Use only one stage.

- Re-establish a stable orbit after taking off from the cliff.

I'm not sure that there is ANY terrain that is that steep on Kerbin. Certainly, if there is, there isn't a lot of it. At last from Kerbalmaps, the steepest areas large enough to be noticeable from space are less than 70 degrees.

occ, I know you're relatively new (one or two months) to the forums, so I'll put this lightly: This challenge is a bit on the impossible side. There is perhaps no-where in the entire kerbal system that has that sort of slope. I'd hate to say this, but there is a good chance this thread will be locked by a moderator. You could try again, but have a look at this first. You might be able to save this from a lock down, too!

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
