In the past assembly loading issues occured if my util dll was not present or the downloaded dll was corrupted somehow.

Please make sure you have tried re-dowloading and have the util dll.

I't really be nice to have an archive for older versions. Not everyone has the time, know how, or patience to be able to compile (or even learn how to compile) someone else's plugin for the correct version they need. It's just a bad practice not to keep an archive. If you're worried about people bombarding you with "OMG this happened with my game and I'm using an older version! Please help!", just put a label on the archive page saying that there will be no support for older versions, use at your own risk. Another thing that would stop people requesting help for older versions is placing the no-help-for-outdated-versions warning right above the link, or be the thing that redirects you to the link, that would take you to the archive. You could also go a step further and include a ReadMe containing this information. Hell, put a small popup in the game every time you use it. Or, my favorite method or just ignoring them.

It's just odd seeing a developer of anything not haveing an archive for what they create since most know that not everyone will be using the latest version available. I've never seen anything, program or plugin wise, for any product not having a place for older releases.

Anyway, I guess this isn't the case for this plugin, or any of your other plugins, sadly. I'd be nice to have but I don't have the time nor the patience to compile someone else's work. Family and work matters take up most of my time, so when I get time to play I'm not gonna compile a plugin just so I can get it to work on the version I'm using.

I'd be awesome to use this to help when I need need to quickly fix something. So, hopefully, you'll be able provide access to an older version. In my case I'd need need access to a 0.25 version of this plus your utility library. If not, well, then that sucks because this looks quite useful. Hopefully you'll consider what I said, or even just help me. Anyways, if you see this, thanks for taking the time to read it; I wish you the best for any further development.

Well, I don't keep old version around and personally never stick with old versions of KSP either.

So what I'd have to do now would be to check out the old commit, compile it again and pack it up for you. Believe it or not but January has now been the third month in a row I did 90h+ weeks, so I don't have a lot of free time either.

However, I'll put all old packs in a dropbox folder from now on and whoever needs one of those 100% unsupported versions may dig through it. Satisfied?

That would be absolutely wonderful and very much appreciated! If or when you do get the time, the only things I'd need is nodehelper and your utilities library for 0.25. As stated in my original post, I understand that there'd be no support if I encounter any bugs as that is expected when using an older version. Because you're having to recompile both plugins, please, do it when you get the time. (I know you don't need my permission, I just feel I need to say it! :P)

I completely understand a ninety plus hour work week; they certainly aren't fun at all... Since money's currently tight right now, I won't be able to donate for the extra work right away. Come February second or third you'll be getting a donation with a thank-you note attached since that's when payday hits. Once again, this is very, very much appreciated since it requires extra work. I also know that since you'll be keeping older versions of all your mods in a dropbox folder in the future, there will be many other people that'll be appreciative as well!

Edit: Forgot to say sorry if my first post insinuated that I was mad, trying to be rude, or belittle you. I re-read the post and how I wrote it could've easily been taken as any one of the three. Forum posts, or anything written over the internet for that matter, lacks the ability to portray thoughts in the exact manner and tone you wish people to perceive them. So, thank you for reading it and taking it how you did, because it easily could've been taken in an entirely different manner.

It's alright, I'll try to squeeze it in on the weekend. Oh, but I don't have the old KSP dlls any more, someone has to provide me with those or it won't compile, because there was an API change (is there a place where we keep them?).

I'm just a bit grunty at the moment because stressed like hell.

Hopefully these are the ones you're talking about. Click here.

Once again, thank you, it's very much appreciated!

Here is a pack with the two requested dlls, compiled against the old dlls you gave me.

It's untested (don't have an old KSP install) and without any support.

I hope it works for you, I can't help you any more.

Oh, that comes without saying. :P

It works like a charm! The donation will probably hit sometime later today, if not today then it will definitely hit the day after.

Thanks for going out of your way to do this!

Don't worry, glad I could help!

As I said, I'll provide old versions in the future so this was a one time effort anyway

The donation is on its way! Hopefully it'll show up soon if it hasn't already. I forget if there's extra processing time when paypal has to deal with currency conversion.

It only shows in VAB pretty sure you click the toolbar button and then right or left click the part and it opens a window.

but there is no button or toolbar in VAB.

make a KSP/GameData/CIT_Util folder that has the CITUtil.dll and CIT_Util.version , License.txt all in it your nodehelper looks good but the CITUtil should have a folder.

EDIT- just a fold CIT_Util and put those three files in it.
