Efficient way to build Comms Network in RO?

in Stock Kerbin, it`s very easy to make comms relay, thanks to very long-ranged onmi antennas.

in RO, no omni antenna has long enough range to make triangular or even square comms relay with, which seems realistic.

So, I have to use directional antennas to build comms network, but it seems a bit inefficient.

How do you build comms network in RO? What could be an efficient way?

Are there no efficient one and should I use flight computer instead?

Each satellite needs 4 dishes. 1 large dish aimed at active vessel, and 3 small dishes to relay the signal to ground. 2 of the small dishes are pointed at the adjacent satellites in your network and the third is pointed at the tracking station. When I did this I put 4 satellites 90 degrees apart in a semi synchronous orbit, but the configuration doesn't matter as long as you have enough of them.

That's what I'm doing now but I thought that's little bit inefficient. But it seems clear that there's no other way thanks!
