It's not that, it's the nature of your link. Your link doesn't go to a raw image, it goes to an image framed by some dropbox stuff. If you follow the link for my picture it is just a raw image.

Not sure how it is done differently, my images are in a folder in the "Public" folder, that may be the difference.

Dropbox doesn't like hotlinking of images on their website, you need to be sure you have the direct link to the image which can be a bit problematic to obtain (the one you posted for example isn't the direct link to the image which is why embedding it here doesn't work). It's really easier to go to imgur.com and upload the image there, then link to it. You don't need an account

I have a hunch kcs123's images are being stored in Dropbox's image album folders, instead of the Public folder -- if you store it in the Public folder, links to the images and hotlinking should work.
