why aren't cusswords censored ion the IRC

i was on the irc, someone lied to me, and the F word wasn't censored.

now i think i may have been permabanned from it

I've seen people swear before on #KSPOfficial IRC, on purpose or by accident (misspelling screenshot is one I've done myself), and if it's an isolated incident the mods will just warn them... or laugh, depends whether it was an accident or not

You shouldn't be banned though, have you tried connecting again?

There's no kick or ban of you in my IRC logs from today, you should still be able to log in (have you tried?). Swearing isn't censored there but it is forbidden as the usual Community Rules apply, but you won't get banned or even kicked for a first offense. Most likely one of the ops will just warn to you to watch your potty mouth.

They are called "Curse Words." "Cusswords" is immature and improper grammar.

"Cussword" has been in use since the 1870s, nothing improper about it other than it being a bit informal.
