Why i got so little money when i set 50% on fundraising!

Recommended Posts

I canceled policy aimed to boost science, because i have enough tech to send manned oh i mean kerbaled ;) mission to Mun. But i have short on cash 180 thousands (IMHO should be millions:) ) on by budget but i need to purchase prototype.

I download Saturn V from Curse, but one launch cost 143 thousand, now i understand why NASA canceled APOLLO :D

The point is i switched Policy from science to money, but i got very little money from it:(

Strategies only apply to Contract Completion. Also, if you have any Strategies that reduce the cost of launching a rocket you still need to have enough funds to cover the cost of the original rocket, but only the funds required for launch will be deducted.

There's also the fact that the conversion rate of funds from science just isn't worthwhile, considering that even your best science contracts will still only give a few hundred science, which means peanuts compared to the half mil+ rewards you can get already from said contracts. The only strategies that I find worthwhile are the recovery transponders, funds->science (here's 7500 science for completing what would have been a lucrative contract. Enjoy your mostly-unlocked-in-one-go tech tree), funds->reputation (helps get better contracts), and science->rep (same thing).

Eehm, you don't need nearly that much funds to get to the Mun. A few 10k is enough for a full science return mission

180k will last you AGES if you spend it wisely, and that's not even taking into acount the cash you get from contracts
