Wing(lett) Part Recoloring

I know there is a lot of talk over new parts/old parts, etc. This suggestion assumes we are staying with the new parts, the Swept Wing and winglets are wonderful models that do not have a match in the new parts so it's good they made the cut, however they need a little tweaking to fit. This suggestion is simple, recolor the Swept Wings, Delta Deluxe Winglett, AV-R8 Winglet, and Standard canard to remove the grey accents and replace them with black accents. This would make them "fit" with the new parts aesthetically. Below is a very crude photoshop, despite being crude the right side still looks better.

i agree, and i think kerbpaint needs to become standard to KSP; it makes the game look so much better...

yeah, I used to have Blue Kerbal suits, but after a few updates i lost both the file and the program... it's sad there are a lot of good features we're losing...

I agree the, old swept wings are very much still relevant, and I would love to see them fit in well with the new control surfaces. Unfortunately I do not believe we will get to see this anytime soon (if at all) due to the fact that SQUAD's art team is still (AFAIK) working on the models for the new upgradable buildings.

PS, IDK maybe I should add this as a suggestion in of itself but it would be cool if there was a system for a form of up-voting suggestions and if they received enough up-votes (1000? 2000?) we as a community could formally submit it to SQUAD and if they had time we could get back an semi-official or official response about it. This response would be up at the top of the suggestion and development discussion sub-forum as a sticky thread, SQUAD's response would also be on the thread itself. I think this would benefit both us and SQUAD, as they would see some minor things that while they might think are trivial we as a communtiy find important (much like the new voting system on the bug tracker which HarvestR himself said was immensely helpful) and we would have a formal way to impact the game. This system would have to be carefully implemented so it cannot be abused. I would also say this system should be limited to small things (such as the topic of this thread) and not large things (such as ideas for new planets). Any way just a thought. Moderators if you think I should add this as its own thread and or it violates a rule that I didn't foresee I will take it down.

Well, it's one thing to make new models, I can't imagine it would take a significant time to simply alter the color of one portion of the texture though. I have no experience with modeling, but I do have photoshop experience (enough to do much better than I did above) and I would imagine the tools posses the same layering and selection type features.

Rowsdower is a person, not a god. You don't need a holy man to talk to him. Send him a private message, of course he is the community manager so he will probably see the thread once work days resume.
