Buried monoliths (mild spoiler)

Recommended Posts

So, I spotted two anomalies on Kerbin (most old hands will know exactly were, let's just say both are not many miles away from the KSC).

Of course, there is nothing to see there. The Westernmost one says "monolith" when investigated with a BTDT scanner. The North one says nothing at all, although I did land right on top of it :

None are to be seen, and I understood there is a good reason for that : the monolith have been buried due to kerbaforming during one of the version updates.

So -- is there something to be done there, some way to see the anomalies, to un-bury them? Or should i just give up and do more interesting things ?

By the way, is there a way to transfer the anomalies map by SCANsat to the map or flying scene ? They would be easier to find...

thanks

Most anomalies are visible or not depending on your terrain detail setting. Often less detail makes them be above the ground. A few are totally hosed, though, regardless of settings. The Minmus Monolith and the one in the deep hole near Mun's south pole are both WAY above ground level, hovering in space.

Sadly, there's no way I know of to put SCANsat data on the stock map view. About the best you can do is go to http://www.kerbalmaps.com/ and write down the coordinates of the anomaly you're interested in, then use some mod like MJ to get yourself exactly there.
