Crash after loading screen.

Recommended Posts

KSP v0.25 eats up more memory. If you only have 4GB of system memory, KSP crashes at the main menu because it spikes out on memory usage.

1. Open up your settings.cfg file.

2. Look for the line that says "TEXTURE_QUALITY = "

3. Make it say "TEXTURE_QUALITY = 1" (or you can also try 2, or even 3)

4. Restart KSP, and set your Texture Quality to no higher than half (in the settings page on the main menu).

Cheers,

i have 16 gb system ram but my games keeps chrashing during loading.

its about 1 out of 3 time's it chrashes.

here is a error log:

That particular log isn't as handy as the outpot_log.txt file. However, it indicates that you only have 1GB of physical ram. Something appears very wrong with your setup if you say that you have 16GB. Is KSP also running horribly slow for you?

Hmm... That crashes with an unhelpful error:

========== OUTPUTING STACK TRACE ==================

(0x01A896C0) (KSP): (filename not available): NxCreateCoreSDK + 0x740

(0x01AB9FEC) (KSP): (filename not available): NxCreateCoreSDK + 0x3106c

========== END OF STACKTRACE ===========

That suggests an odd out-of-memory situation, though I can't explain why KSP is only seeing 1 GB of RAM, unless it's counting video RAM and system RAM together as the accessible 4 GB. This log reports 3 GB of video RAM. Is that right? If not, is there a setting the NVidia drivers that lets you change how much system RAM is allocated to the video card?

Not likely to be helpful, but you could try reinstalling and/or copying KSP somewhere else. Just remember to back up your saves first.
