Open Part Threads Revival (i can't do it)

am i the only one that remembers the old open part threads that provided some very good parts until of course it stopped in july with this thread...

but i still believe that it can be revived but without the as Cpt. Kipard described it as "we tried to get creative with it and people's heads exploded" as shown below

Here's the sequence of events as I see it:

1. A well known modder started it.

2. Fueled by charisma, people flocked.

3. Said modder stopped getting involved.

4. Fewer people contributed.

5. We tried to get creative with it and people's heads exploded.

Personally I stopped contributing after I had to literally bug people to finish their projects.

i can't do it since i am neither a modder nor well-known around here

although how about as an part idea for the new thread if anyone more well known is willing to revive it...

i don't expect anyone to try to do it but it would still be nice if it happened

"Mark 4" spaceplane parts, with a cargo bay that can fit 2.5m parts

A 2.5m -> 2x Mk 2 converter

A Mk 3 -> 3x 1.25m converter.

Rakayados, when you say "Mark 4" TT's "MK4 fuselage system"? Those can hold up to 3.75 meter payloads I belive. I think that it can still be downloaded somewhere although I'm not exactly sure where. One problem though with TT's old MK4 is that they use connections to the pre-0.25 MK2 style and the MK3 size which is due for an update soon. The heatshield texture on the bottom is also dated. Also, there is already an inline MK2 docking port in stock as of 0.25.

I'd say you're very well known around here! Personally, I respect you as a Forum Veteran! But good luck with getting this revived! I've always wanted to see this get started back up again! There were some very creative ideas!

hmm *Thinking noises* i'll try to although right now the real question who do i ask to start it again because the last person to host was Ven but the person who started it was frizzank so....

If you are afraid that people would dispute your own authority to carry on the open part mod name you could always just complete the last challenge and win by default (or start a similar competition under a different name but that sounds to sensible for kerbals)
